Prof. Filippo Crea is Director of the Institute of Cardiology and Director of the Postgraduate School in Cardiology at the Catholic University in Rome. He is Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and of the European Society of Cardiology; Chairman of the Cluster Circulation and member of the Science Council of the European Society of Cardiology, Associate Editor of “Heart” and member of the Editorial Board of “Circulation” and “Clinical Cardiology”.
In 1992 he received from Prof Rita Levi Montalcini the Newburg Prize for his scientific contribution to the cardiovascular research.
His main field of interest is ischemic heart disease. Prof. Crea is author of about 300 publications on peer-reviewed journals with an impact factor of 1000.
